Out Doors
With being a prey animal, Guinea Pigs NEED protection from the elements; Sun, wind, wild life, and other possible dangers.
When bringing your guinea pig out doors, please provide the essentials of a protective shelter, water and food. If the weather is not appropriate, such as to hot or to cold, it's always wise to hand pick grass and make a picnic in your home instead.
(ideal temperature ranges, 68F - 75F )
While summer is warm, the heat from brick houses can help as the temp. drops in the evenings and closer to Fall. Keep the ideal temp in mind though and don't forget about wind!
 (park visiting set up)
The following picture is a example of what is NOT sufficient protection if I was asked directly
Bring the out doors IN doors
<--fans that are close by turn OFF! And make sure cords are not accessible for chewing.
Our best method yet, happy pigs don't get in much trouble this way and safe as in their own cage!
If you have any questions at all on how I have set things up or need help setting up your own, you are more then welcome to contact me.
